A/Prof Mahesh Choolani is an Associate Professor and Senior Consultant at NUH, Department of O&G. He sees both obstetrics & gynaecology patients, but his area of interest is in High Risk Pregnancy care and Fetal Genetics. A/Prof Mahesh completed his PhD doctoral thesis on non-invasive prenatal diagnosis at Imperial College, London, UK. His principal areas of reseach are non-invasive prenatal diagnosis, fetal mesenchymal stem cells for intrauterine fetal therapy and early detection of epithelial ovarian cancer. He was awarded the NMRC Clinician Scientist Award to continue his research in the prenatal diagnosis field.
